Morrissey has yet again dismayed Las Vegas fans by postponing his four-show residency to just days before it was set to start at Encore Theater – this would have marked his inaugural performances with Wynn Resorts and represent one of his earliest scheduled shows on Wynn Resorts properties.
On Friday afternoon, ticket holders were informed that shows would be cancelled due to “unforeseen logistical challenges”. Many fans had made travel and hotel arrangements in anticipation of attending concerts this month.
Morrissey and Wynn Resorts removed any mention of his scheduled shows from their respective websites; additionally, Ticketmaster provided cancellation notifications to any disappointed fans who purchased tickets.
Morrissey intended for this residency to serve as an initial launchpad for his summer and fall U.S. tour supporting Make-Up Is a Lie, his 14th solo album released earlier in 2018.
History of Cancellations
Morrissey fans were advised to book flexible travel arrangements due to his unpredictable history of performing shows in Las Vegas, which has included canceling or postponing nearly as many performances than actually occurring there over time.
